Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a painless traditional oriental technique in which diseases and health disorders are seen as an imbalance in the body's energy (Qi), which flows along well-defined pathways called meridians. By inserting very thin acupuncture needles at specific points along these meridians, a well-trained acupuncturist can normalize the flow of energy and prevent or treat illness by initiating the body's own healing mechanisms. Modern scientific study has confirmed that Acupuncture induces biochemical changes in the body that have beneficial effects.
Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. It is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medications or even surgery. Relief is often obtained with acupuncture when traditional medical therapy has failed.
